Installation and Operation

The camera cables are 6-pin RJ-11 interconnection cables for use with the ADT observation monitors, ViewPro Mux, and ViewPro Plus DVRs, cameras and accessory units. Camera extension cables are available in lengths of 16’, 60’, 100’, 200’ and 300’. The A-LA800 line amplifier is recommended for cable runs longer than 300’. The line amplifier is shipped with a 15V dc power supply.

Several adapter cables are available to connect ADT observation systems to equipment using BNC input connectors, such as VCRs and DVRs. The A-A2VCBNC is a 6-ft VCR/DVR interconnection cable with RJ-11 for observation monitor connection and two RCA connectors for audio in and out and two BNC connectors for video in and out.

The CONKIT conversion kit will convert one RJ-11 camera to BNC and provide power for the camera for connection to residential televisions.

The CONKIT series is a 4-, 9-, and 16-channel interface used to convert the RJ-11 camera to BNC and RCA connectors for use with the digital recorders. The ACB-6 (6' RCA cable) is used to connect the CONKITxC audio output to the DVR. The A-AB50C, BNC cable is used as a general purpose 50' video extension cable for system or PVM video connections.

The A-RF2BM adapter will convert a RCA cable to a BNC connector. The cash register interface cable (A-A2POS) is used with third party accessories and retail cash registers for video monitoring of point of sale (POS) receipt transactions.
