The DYK series is the newest family of value-line Digital Video Recorders from ADT. The DYK4500 is a four channel digital video recorder featuring advanced H.264 compression – ensuring an efficient use of hard disk drive storage – meaning more days of video storage. Real-time recording is supported with frame rates of 30-ips per camera for a maximum of 120-ips for the four channel recorder. PTZ operation is supported using common control protocols. The unit features simultaneous live display, record, backup, playback and network access. The DYK series offers picture-in-picture (PIP) and 2X digital zoom capability as well as email notification for motion, alarm or video loss events. The DYK series offers full 3G remote viewing of the cameras from the user’s mobile phone.
Some of the more popular phone models are able to interface using their internal browser. Approved phone Operating Systems include Win Mobile 5.0 or above, Symbian, Blackberry (9000 series) and Apple using the Safari browser and the others using Firefox and Opera browsers.
System Local Operation
The DYK series feature a graphical user interface (GUI) which is easily navigated using the front panel controls, included mouse or IR remote control. All system programming and control is accomplished using on-screen icons and easy to follow dialog screens.
Remote System Operation
The DYK series support remote access via TCP/IP supported networks. Remote access and control is available using IE browser through the built-in web server or by using the supplied client Central Management System (CMS). The IE browser allows full DVR operation, control, system programming, live view and search capability. The client-based remote software (CMS) included with the unit allows live viewing and image search/playback from the remote location. Up to sixteen DVRs may be connected simultaneously using the CMS client. The CMS client features multi-channel recording, video backup and still image capture.
Connector Interface
The recorder offers four BNC inputs (non-looping) for the four camera inputs, one audio input and one audio output. The DYK series offers a VGA video monitor output and BNC SPOT monitor for composite video signals. One IP network port is provided as well as connections for RS485 and alarm input/outputs.
