Installation and Operation
The A-LA800 line amplifier is used to extend the camera cable distance to the observation system. The recommended maximum cable distance without the use of the line amplifier is 300 feet. The line amplifier may be used to extend the maximum distance to 600 feet. The line amplifier may be connected into the system configuration either inline at the halfway point between the camera and the observation system location using lengths of standard camera cables, or the unit can be mounted near the monitor and connected to the monitor using the supplied 16-foot cable. Cable length compensation controls are located on the line amplifier and are used to optimize camera picture quality. The controls allow the adjustment of the video signal amplitude (GAIN) and high-frequency (HF GAIN) color signal of the camera. For B/W systems, the HF gain control may be used to adjust the sharpness of the camera image.
• Intended for use with all ADT Observation Systems when monitor to camera cable distances exceed 300 feet. Adjustable video gain and HF gain controls.
• Includes 16-foot cable for A-LA800 to observation system connection.
• Includes 15V dc power supply.
