Residential Applications
Question: How can I use a Single Camera Video and a Quad 4-Camera Video for residential applications?
Answer:
Single Camera Video
The single camera interface (A-TV190PA) is used to interface the ViewPro™ camera to a residential TV with A/V inputs. The A-TV190PA provides audio and video connection from the camera and supplies power to the camera using an enclosed UL-listed 15V dc wall-mount power supply. The A-TV190PA is a 6' foot cable, but may be lengthened by using any of the ViewPro™ camera-cable extension cables available in lengths of 60', 100', 200' or 300' (A-A18C, A-A30C, A-A60C or A-A90C). Using this configuration, both audio and video from the camera location can be monitored on the residential TV, however the alarm tone will not be heard nor is audio talk-back capability possible.

Quad 4-Camera Video
| To enable up to four separate ViewPro™ cameras to be displayed in Quad, Sequential Switching or Single camera mode, on the residential TV the Quad-in-Quad Processor units are used (A-Q4C for color and A-Q4B for black/white). The Quad system allows programming of time and date, switching dwell times and camera titling. The color Quad allows for Picture-in-Picture operation of two cameras. The A-TV190PA (discarding the power adapter) cable is used to provide Audio and Video interface from the Quad unit to the residential TV A/V input. The A-TV190PA is a 6' foot cable, but may be lengthened by using any of the ViewPro™ camera-cable extension cables available in lengths of 60', 100', 200' or 300' (A-A18C, A-A30C, A-A60C or A-A90C). Using this configuration, both audio and video from each of the four camera locations (as selected) can be monitored on the residential TV, as well as the alarm tone within the Quad unit, however 2-way communication is not possible with the A-DC3B or A-DC4C Video Door phones. |

Connection Diagrams
| The following drawings illustrate solutions for single camera and 4-camera requirements using the A-TV190PA cable for the single camera and Quad Processor solutions. For residential TV's without separate A/V inputs, the A-TV190PA cable may be connected to a TV channel modulator unit that converts the camera (or quad) audio and video to a specific TV channel frequency that can be viewed using the TV tuner. |
